My Ruger has developed a trigger problem. DA pull is fine, but SA has developed a hitch after takeup in the final stage. There is resistance, then a dead spot, then the final resistance. Common? Local gunsmith has done two good trigger jobs on other guns for me. Looks like another trip to his shop.

Don't know what you mean by a dead spot? but the disconnector might need a bit of adjustment. Hopefully he didn't modify it.

Never considered doing a trigger job on my Rugers. Guess I just accepted them as they were. (with the exception of the Mklls and 10/22s.) The Ruger P series pistols are a heck of a deal for the money.  I'm not sure that I'd spend money on trying to improve that trigger mechanisim. One thing for sure, if the pull has changed somethings wrong!
