17 Cheap Beers That Locals Love

Near one-half of these we cannot get up here due to asinine liquor distribution laws (Some thing Trump should have zapped.)

We used to get Lone Star up here but now  all we have is Shiner and at that beer stores are mostly full of the cliques of new little breweries that serve beers that are the rage of bitter beers or odd ball things that exist because they are odd ball.
Way back 1962, when we went out West for the World's Fair, dad had been told by his co-worker to try Rainier Beer, so he made sure he had some.
My dad drank little beer, or any thing, but he liked it.

Hi Neighbor, have a 'Gansett!

... seriously, pre-COVID, our favorite thing to do on a Friday night was to walk the two blocks to the Fastnet Pub on Broadway, for Fish & Chips and a 'Gansett. Their light lager is barely more carbs than a Michelob Ultra, but so much better in taste, and they only package in 16oz cans, a six pack of which is a couple bucks cheaper than a sixer of Ultra.

Yuengling is good to go also; seem to always find it on a Navy base, and their Black and Tan is tasty.

I'm a one drink only kind of guy, so when I do have one, I want it to be a good one, and Gansett and Yuengling have never done me wrong. I'm a lager only guy too, which most of the locals are - you couldn't pay me to drink an IPA.
