My Mother's Journey is Finished,
« on: October 24, 2020, 06:59:59 PM »
At 9:43pm Wednesday night I got the call that my mother had died in her sleep.
Hers, and mine, life long friends stepped up when I called and made my requests.
Old friends of hers and mine, preached the gospel, sang her favorite songs, and reflected on my mothers' long Christian life.
Her shell rests next to my fathers' and she without a doubt, is "present with the Lord".

Today's was a sad day, but as one of my granddaughters said; she has wanted to meet Christ for a very long time, and now she has.

God is good,
You may all go to hell, I will go to Texas. Davy Crockett

Condolences, Dee.  It sure is great at such a time, to have confidence of a loved one's salvation, isn't it !

The loss of a loved one always brings sadness to those left behind. But when we're old and infirm and suffering, no long able to care for ourselves it is truly a blessing to them when they go on to be with their maker.

I'm sorry for  your loss but it seems from the reports you have given us on her this year that she is far better off now. Her misery and suffering is over and for those of us who believe in a life ever lasting following our early journey we must know they are in that better place they've been wanting to go to.

Sorry to hear of that.
I lost my mother a few months
ago and it's still tough even when
you know they're close to leaving.
Knowing where they're bound for
helps us left behind deal with the loss.
The one thing that helps me is knowing
my mother and father are back together
again

Indeed. My dad died 14 years and one day before mom.

We mourn and feel loss but knowing they now see nothing but joy and love eases the sadness.
Godspeed Dan.

Thanks TN, mom suffered a long time, and we know where she is, with no suffering, only perfection.

Good to see you here.

Like TeamNelson I got here late, but I know how it is to lose your Momma.
Thankfully, she is with the Lord like mine is.
