Guy Fieri putting congress to shame..

A man of action, doing what is needed.  Accomplishing perhaps, what Pelosi, AOC, her squabs and the rest of congress couldn't do.

If those congressional cash cows had not tried to fund all kinds of leftist causes, questional schemes and shothole countries, they could have saved thousands from bankruptcy.

Hospitality- the friendly and generous entertainment of guests, visitors or strangers.

How about "waiters and waitresses"?

I ain't a guest, visitor, or stranger! I'M A CUSTOMER!

I have nothing against tips to "waiters and waitresses" if one chooses, but it has evolved into an "EXPECTATION" from these people. They even came up with a percentage scale based on the cost of the meal. REALLY?

Linda and I drop $38.00 for 5 average pieces of catfish, 2 very small bowls of red beans, and 2 small bowls of squash, plus a coke, and a tea.
Now they want us to pay their wait staff, for doing their job.
I've always called BS on this whole scheme, but have "tipped" if the service was good.

Now! These so called "hospitality workers" have a right to work, and the all powerful local and state governments are the ones to blame.

Another example. I've cut my own hair since 1974. Ain't hard once you learn, but I got to thinkin; why not give these new barbers a try. They sure get it done faster.
It was fast. $15.00 for about 5 minutes work. So I get out of the chair, walk over to the counter and say; so I owe you  $15.00?
With a glare only a mother, or an ex-wife could muster she says: well that'll pay for the haircut.
I just gave her the twenty so I could leave.

You are easy, Dee. I would have handed her the fiteen bucks and left. I've never tipped a barber or was expected to in my life. Got an out now. Our only grand daughter is a beautician and cuts our hair and won't accept a penny for doing so. Grandma and I haven't missed a haircut during this covid mess. We get even on the haircuts by buying her and her kids things. Being truthful we would do so without the haircuts.

That long haired look just isn't the thing anymore.

I know what you mean, Dee, and placing a levy on the bill in lieu of a voluntary tip is totally crass, in my opinion.  However, the regular voluntary tipping system is important, though misused.
( don't know how it is done where you live, but around here.  Server people  (about 95% female) are paid peanuts..expecting to do friendly, cheerful service, and make up the pay gap with tips!
If the server is a jerk..the tip should be commensurate. ..If good, then the tip should be good.  Some of the good ones make a decent wage this way.
It may not seem fair, but I have little doubt the more attractive ones, so long as they have a gregarious demeanor, can make quite good wages.
I don't go out quite as much as I used to, since prices seem to have climbed precipitately in recent months.

I left a single penny once. More than I felt was deserved but I wanted them to know I hadn't forgotten but was making a statement regarding service given.

I'm usually a pretty good tipper if the service is good. I have on occasion left a penny as a tip when the service is bad.
