Nancy's facebook group which includes thousands of people have been removed.

Parler, a conservative chat group, of which Nancy and I belonged, has been taken down by apple and google.

Free speech is fast leaving us.  then will be the right to assemble, the right to worship, the right to keep and bear arms, and the right to be secure in our homes.

At least one person at this site will allow the cops to walk in with a warrant and leave with all his guns in a bag and himself in handcuffs.

The lefties will continue to keep their jackboots on the throat of conservatives & libertarians- like many of you on GBO Reloaded and I.  When tempers flare it will be cited as justification for more regulations.  Are FB and Tweeter private companies?  They are very pervasive and integral to many peoples’ daily lives.  Their bias is apparent, yet many conservatives continue to use them.  The marketplace in action.  Does the Government have the right to regulate them as we do the public utilities?  Think electric and water service.  I don’t know.

I don't do facebook or twitter.
But my wife did facebook with thousands of like conservatives who discussed issues of the day and religion.
all in all a good group with very few problems since it was mainly family groups, but it's gone now.
It may have been all the talk of JESUS that caused it.

OK, so the privately owned FB and Tweeter have their rights to “filter” content, what happened to Parler, which, IIRC is owned by conservative Dan Bongino?  I don’t have the answer, I’m not trying to ‘dis anybody, I’m asking for info from some people who are probably more astute than me.  (Does not include Turdactyl and a couple others)

The best way to take care of big tech is not use their products.

The only issue with big tech is they are liability protected by section 230 of the Communications Decency Act. This protection stems from the fact that they are supposed to be an open platform allowing all forms of speech. Big tech is openly violating this by censoring conservative speech. They are acting as publishers rather than an open platform therefor they should lose these liability protections. The issue is nobody in congress is willing to take them on, it's all lip service. Big tech is supposed to abide by the 1st Amendment if they want this liability protection but they are thumbing their noses at us instead.

I agree.  "IF" you claim to be an "open forum" you must allow ALL to speak.  If you are not you don't deserve any special treatment.  BTW sunlight is the best arbiter, if people like what you have to say they will listen, if not down you go.  Free speech should always be a free market!!!!

Parler is now dropped from the app stores and Amazon app list. If they do to Parler what they did to gab Visa will remove their ability to receive funds, and their ISP will deplatform  them. Since Parler is app based they’ll struggle with keeping it up without that support.

Seriously though Gab was launched to be wholly self sufficient not requiring an app and runs quick on a mobile browser. It also is independently served, and independently able to process donations. No ads, no trackers, just free speech. Sure you got to put up with some kooks, but so far not a lot of liberal kooks more libertarian kooks than anything else. Lots of Christians
