The Henry's sure are nice looking rifles compared to what the H&R's everyone used to like so well are.

These feel so much better made. The picture doesn't do the wood justice. It's beautiful in person.

About 4 years ago I looked at one in 308 at a gun show very well made , I was really impressed. I collect the TCR 83/87 Rifle and spare barrels but for what I have to pay for a barrel I can have a complete rifle for very few dollars extra same goes with the encore for the price of a encore and a spare barrel you can have 2 complete rifles and better made. I may just have to pick me up one of those, How is the trigger?

The pre-recall guns were 8-9 pounds. Post recall and new manufacture guns are around 4 pounds.
