Scope advice sought for Tracker .17
« on: March 03, 2004, 07:14:52 AM »
I have a couple dot sights on handguns, but have never looked at scopes with magnification. My Tracker .17 has some great accuracy potential for small game hunting, and I can now see that the 1MOA dot currently on it limits its capabilities.

Any advice/recommendations/testimonials on what products are worth consideration? I have always been a Leupold or Burris fan as far as long guns are concerned, but am not completely biased towards them.  I like the Leupold M8 4x EER so far.

I am leaning towards a variable as I:
a.) am not sure what magnification will be best suited for small game (squirrels).
b.) want to buy something that is versatile and could be transferred to another gun if desired.

Any input will be most appreciated...
Thanks in advance...
