What can you expect for accuracy?
« on: March 03, 2004, 01:56:01 PM »
I am new to pistols and have a Ruger Siper Blackhawk Hunter in 44 w/7.5" barrel and 2x Leupold. I have been shooting a 300grWFNGC bullet over 22gr's of H110. At 50 yds resting on a piece of carpet on a stump.  I have only been able to get groups measuring about 1.25-1.75". If that was all I could get from my rifles I would go back and try to develop a better load but I don't know what to expect from a pistol. Does that sound like reasonable accuracy for my pistol or should keep looking for a better load? I don't have a chronograph and was wondering if someone else has shot a simmilar load and would share what they got for velocity?

Thanks,
Rookie handgunner
