Tessica Brown, the Louisiana woman who was forced to seek medical treatment after using Gorilla Glue to style her hair, says she’s heading off to see a surgeon for help removing the product.

"I will be leaving tomorrow to go see a surgeon," she wrote on Instagram Tuesday afternoon. "I will update you guys the second I have news again."

Brown had previously admitted herself to an emergency room in Chalmette, La., where she was reportedly instructed to sterilized water and nail polish remover to try and soften the glue. Now, she’s said to be flying to Los Angeles to meet with Dr. Michael Obeng, a plastic surgeon, who has offered his services for free, TMZ reports.

Brown had originally shared her story last week, in a TikTok video viewed more than 24 million times as of Wednesday morning. In it, she admitted to using Gorilla Glue spray adhesive on her head, after running out of her preferred brand of hairspray.

Brown, who referred to herself as "Gorilla Glue girl" on YouTube, alleged that she hadn’t been able to remove the glue since spraying it on her ‘do "about a month" before seeking help at the hospital over the weekend. In the days since, Brown claimed she had tried conditioners, tea tree oil and coconut oil — as well as nail polish remover and rubbing alcohol — to remove the glue, with no luck. She and a friend did have some success with a superglue remover, however, and managed to cut Brown’s ponytail off, according footage shared with TMZ.

Now, the plastic surgeon in Los Angeles will try to remove the rest of the glue from her hair and scalp in a procedure that can take up to three days and cost over $12,000, the outlet reports.

Brown, meanwhile, has already raised more than $17,000 via an online fundraiser she had arranged to cover medical expenses. It’s unclear if she will use that money to cover travel costs, too.

Tessica Brown is also reportedly considering a lawsuit against Gorilla Glue. (Gorilla Glue)

Brown did not respond to a request for additional information. A representative for Brown was not immediately available to confirm exactly when the Los Angeles procedure will be taking place.

Come on guys, it was an honest mistake. When I'm shaving I use 5 minute epoxy to,....well actually I don't, I use shaving cream.

Don't you see; that long pony tail she had , there is a 98.6 percent chance that is a hair extension.
If she just shaved her head she would have to have the hair extension, re-attached, or replaced, many months from now when here hair grew long enough to have same thing to attach it to, plus over spray may have ruined the hair extension and to get it repaired cost A LOT of money.
(If that pony tail is her hair, it would take years to get that long, but chance of that is 1.4 at best)

A good hot show would cause the glue to loosen from here scalp but then she would be bald with and have to grow here hair back and replace ALL that, that hair-do amounts to.
We are speaking 4 figures not three, SO, she is playing the internet fools and media to let others pay for here moronic motions.

the counter hair pieces for
blacks are a dime a dozen for
the plain black ones. Every dollar
store has them and a large
selection of hair gels and hair
grease ( that's what I call it- that's
what it is is grease)
Unfortunately, that's also the most
frequently shoplifted thing in
the hood. Most of the middle
eastern owned stores keep all
that stuff behind the counter with
the crack pipes and rolling papers

I saw one close up photo of her/s and it is a real brunette hair extension which you can tell by the way the light reflects off of it.
Now I do not know her biology buy both of my mixed blood niece have dark brunette hair the color my sister and i have with just a slight wave.
I am assuming as dangerous as that is she does not have the very dark hair most pure blood black have or that would look either really odd where the hair extension joins it or she spent big bucks to get her hair died Caucasian brunette (which is really a very dark brown.)

Now she can afford a bunch of them.

prominent type surgeon
was supposed to have done
the " surgery " for free, since
all the white surgeons and
medical people didn't know
anything about black hair and
black people in general, he
would do it and show how
easy it would be.
JMHO- if he knows all about
glue removal from black people's
head, that's not saying much
for black people. Not saying
much for the woman and those
