Looks like a fun match.  What with the rest being allowed I may be able to hit the card once or twice :)

Guess I'll give it a try.

How do we enter?

Longcruise - I have gotten away in the past postal shoots using a larger than 3.5x5 card. In fact for my 28 gauge I used an 8.5x11!

Yeah, this is a VERY informal match.  The rules are pretty flexible.  The only one that is VERY firm is that it must be a H&R or NEF gun.  The 100 yards is pretty firm too.

But then, I'm also open to bribes of any and all kinds :-D

Wlscott, You reckon my latest project -the Pardner 12 ga. slugger - would be an entry possibility? :-D  :)  On second thought , it would probably destroy a 3x5 card, heck an 8.5x11 wouldn't stand much chance either.  :)
Mr. Whitetail is in for a BIG SURPRISE :biggun:  come Nov. 20.

Have you shot any slugs through it yet?  I'd be interested to see how accurate it is

Wlscott I don't know if you'll see this or not being an old thread but I had forgotten about it---sorry. Yes I have shot several brands of slugs and it seems to like the Federal Classics and Brennekes (of course) the best. Haven't tried it out much farther than 50 yd. --all I have for sites is a bead. I am getting about 8 in. drop off of POA at 40 yd. POA is true at 35 yd. tho. All other slug brands and some Rem. 00Buck have all shot a bit left but this is a problem I was having with this barrel before the clipping. This gun was a gift from my son to begin with and all I have in it right now is about $40. I think later this year--before season opens--I may see about having a scope base added to increase range and accuracy but for now I am just having fun with it. I added #6 shot to the bolt hole of the stock and tamed that felt recoil and now it's not such a thumper. Still plan to add at least one 20 ga. barrel thru the acc. program later also. Thanks for asking. I was just kidding about the postal match :) --maybe next year.

Sounds like a red dot sight would be just the ticket on that short barrelled scattergun.
