The Taliban has been trying to take over Afghanistan for generations.  Observant people realized that if they did so, Afghanistan would becomelike Iran, another base from which terrorist operations would be launched.

  After a long struggle..and many deaths and injuries, it has come to a point where, with a minimal outside assistance of advice and weaponry, the Afghan government is just turning the corner.
   
  Now, the Biden admin apparently figures, is a good time to hand over to the Taliban, just what they have been seeking
 for many decades.

For centuries Afghanistan has been known as "The Graveyard of Empires".
They defeated Alexander the Great, they kicked England out, and the former Soviet Union no longer exists because of Afghanistan.
The United States has been embroiled in a 20 year war that is yet ongoing.
Its way past time to get out.

  Agreed!  We are almost completely out already..good, continue the progress.  Presently, there is a government formed as such, in Afghanistan.
  If we can help with only a minimum of training outside it's borders, that may prevent a terrorist group from taking over and giving the Ayatollahs of Iran another recruiting/launching base.
  Yes we are out and we should stay out, but Joe is trying to facilitate a way for the terrorists to take over.

  I see it as just another extension of the evil forces which are trying, and presently succeeding, to undermine the USA!

Before we leave it should be made clear to them what will happen if we need to return.

This is absolutely the case.  The government has been "just turning the corner for over 15 years" ; just one more year, just another trillion dollars, just some more training... Hogwash  their future is set by the people.  If you want to understand what life was like during Jesus time on earth, just go to Afghanistan - they haven't progressed much (in most of the country) in 2000 years.

Back when Russia occupied Afghanistan, I read a long story about how the Afgan fighters could grasp a piece of steel between their toes and with a couple of files and some sandpaper, make repair parts for their rifles.
They are talented people.  If it just wasn’t for the taliban and stupid islam they could be nice folks.

  There are still 2,500 American troops left in Afghanistan.  Even though that is a small number, even they should come out.  Any training for the current afghan government to handle terrorists, should be done out of country.

   Of course, this whole stinky situation , highlights the "double mindedness" of the Biden bunch. 

  First they provide Millions of dollars to train Afghans to treat women as equal to men... Now they want the Taliban to take over a share of the government!

  I guess we can rest assured that the Taliban will be scrupulous in providing "fair play" for women...
