Any of you boys here familar with these guns? I'm KINDA looking for a 10mm in a 6" 1911. Not a race gun but in a reliable 1911 long slide.
I liked the looks, not tha prices, but OH W#ELL.
Seems thay are real popular with tha racing crowd, I would shoot it in IDPA. Yes, I know there is some problems with tha 10mm in IDPA.
Do not want to start a flame but, at my age it seems like too much running in the other sport. It is a thought but mainly for carry.
Blessings

williamlayton:  packing a long slide for personal carry might cause you a few problems.  First, I'm not so certain there is a large holster selction out there for you and Second, it is another inch or so you have to drag out of your holster or belt, and with most of the sights I've seen on longslides, they are not very conductive to a 'rapid presentation'.

One of the gun mags just ran an aritcle on a long slide - made by Caspian Arms, I believe and in 45 acp.  Now, you want a 10mm longslide - hmmmm - maybe Clarke, he was one of the first long slide makers.  Beyond the two already mentioned I'm at a loss to be able to kick in any more info.  Perhaps some of the other posters could be of more help.  Mikey.

Mikey
sci and svi both make a 1911 in a 10mm long slide. Like my sig p220 it will stay in tha truck most of tha time.
Several of tha folks make a yaqui type holster that would accomodatethe long slide. BTW I'm so old I aint got any speed to worry bout losin.
I'm concerned, after rereading the rules, that I couldn't shoot it in IDPA anyway, that would put me in that running sport.
Got to get some clarifications.
Sure do like the look of that long slide though, an specially for the 10mm.
