Seems Texas Governor Abbott might have problems with Gap

Abbot has been a staunch supporter of free speech but now not so much with Gab. I'm going to read into this much more. He won't do well with trying to squelch free speech. Newsmax is all over him over this.

I was on gab for about 3 months. I got tired of the racist, and nasty mouths. I guess I could have blocked em all out, but I just didn't care for it.
As for newsmax, there a couple there I skip when they are on.
Abbott is better than most, but he ain't perfect, and I've never once heard him try to squelch free speech.

   well I hope you are right. I respect him as well. I also respect newsmax over the majority of fake crap out there. Time will tell one way or another.

As far as Gab is concerned i enjoy most of what is being said. Hard to find anything believable these days.

Seems like a money problem as most problems are. Kinda hard for Texas to recruit high tech with the Republican party favoring a right wing extremist group. That's how I take it. All about money.

There is a ton of articles on various outlets about it. It's just the first time I heard or seen anything about it on newsmax.

Believe me I totally respect Abbot. Wished Arizona had one like him. Seems to me if you're for free speech then there is no excuse for condemning one that a lot of Americans like. You said you got tired of potty mouths and such. Some don't. Seems like gbo has a lot of the same rhetoric going on.

Living literally on the doorstep of Texas, Governor Abbot has appeared to me to about a straight of a shooter as you will find in politics so I did a search. It seems he is upset that Gab has an anti-semetic slant. I know nothing about Gab and don't care to as that isn't the type of thing that interests me. However if they are anti-semetic he is only right about calling them out for it. I would trade 100 of our governor for him any day but Texans aren't stupid enough to take that trade.

Well I have read quite a bit of GAB lately and my heritage has Jewish in it down the line. I don't really see Jewish people criticized any more then the normal rants going on with others on Gab. Like I said I admire Abbott I just hope people don't misunderstand his stance on these social web sites.

I'm all for free speech, but had trouble figuring out what Goldie was talking about. The anti-semitism is indeed rampant on that site, and usually coincides with racism toward other ethnicities by basically the same group.
The owners version of Christianity was bizarre in my opinion, sometimes laced with profanity including vulgar cartoons that included the occasional "f-bomb".

There were several there that I would get interested in their views on topics only to find racial material thrown in that Bill would never tolerate here.

They have the right to say it, but is it right to say it. I found it not worth wading thru.
