New to me S&W Model 17
« on: March 30, 2021, 01:13:09 PM »
Last night I got a new issue of Gun Digest the magazine. I found a revolver I've been looking for, for several years in an ad in it. Today I called and it was still in stock so I gave them my credit card number and told them who my local FFL guy is and his info.

I called my local FFL guy and had him send his FFL to them via fax. I'll call again tomorrow to be sure they got the FFL and that the credit card charge went thru. I'll see if I can get a idea when it might ship.

I've never done business with these folks before but they always have 4-6 full pages of guns listed in each issue of the magazine so I'm pretty sure they are on the up and up. Hey if not my credit card company will refund the charge.

No clue when it will be here but I'm as happy to find it and it be still available as I was that Model 14 a couple weeks or so ago. Sure would be nice if the action was as smooth and light but I don't expect that as that M14 is the best I've ever seen in my life. If it's just normal S&W action that's fine with me.

BTW it was made in 1980, that's one thing they are good about providing.

That should be a fun shooter, I wouldn't mind a model 17 either. It's been a while since I've had a K frame.
