Is a McMillan stock really worth the $$
« on: March 04, 2004, 03:56:14 PM »
I'm at a bit of an impass, I have a browning A-bolt stock that took some damage in the magazine well.  It's not enough to weaken the stock but it is enough to make me think about replacing it.

So I started looking around, now this is a 300WSM hunting rifle.  So far I've looked at Boyd's, and Mcmillan     I know there are ton's of others -

Give me your thoughts on laying out the $$ for the Mc, verses going another way.  I like the idea of getting rid of the wood so I'm leaning more to replacement than anything else at the moment....  one good thing about Mc is they take 12 to 15 weeks to get your gun back to ya.  It'd take me that long to save the money! LOL!!!!

Thanks,
