Insuring Guns

Do any of you have recommendations of places to get a reasonable/reliable insurance policy for guns?   I have a rider on my homeowners, but it's way outdated and I think is pretty pricey.  I think it's 1$/!00 value per year.  I haven't updated it in probably 10 years, so I really need to do that one way or another.

If you are a NRA member I think membership includes a insurance policy for 2500 but you can get one through them from Lloyd's of London for any amount you wont.

Here as long as you have a list of gun - make - type  - serial number , it is covered in house insurance, at least mine.

For me it is a rider and you need to list guns and value with serial #.  I did it a long time ago and need to update it as it's very outdated.  I think it cost $1/100 in value per year.  There is some that is covered by my general homeowners, but it's not much.   Was just wondering if there is a better option.

The best options are:
1.) keep your guns behind lock doors and windows - loaded and accessible
2.) defend their theft from occurring
3.) put Perps in the Ground rather than wounding
4.) vote for TOUGHER criminal prosecution of existing law
5.) save your money.  Insurance is a RIP OFF.

          Boy you weren't wrong about number 5 on the list. Rip off for sure.

For sure, until you need it.

Do the math.  When you "need it" you have already paid them MORE than what they will give you back.  It does not make you whole again...they will argue used not new, depreciate value, demand receipts (who keeps receipts) and photographs.  If you have $10's of thousands worth of guns, you best have a safe or two and some loaded guns within reach to defend the safes.

I was thinking of insurance but what landowner mentioned does make sense. Theft not really worried about, small town and 3 dogs that scare the bejesus out of people and if there is a fire my safe will hold up until I get the chainsaw to cut out the wall to the gunroom.
