IN preparation for my buying a M1895 in 45/70, I borrowed and shot my father-in-laws. First of all, what a blast. 1 box Remington SJHP 300gr.
Makes big holes in things. I asked when he got it, he said around 1975. The serial number is B 006XXX. It doesn't seem to meet any criteria I know based on the following link.
