SCOTUS actually takes a 2nd Amendment case
« on: April 26, 2021, 05:24:51 AM »
I have no faith in these clowns to do the right thing but they actually took a 2A case if you can believe that.

It's a case out of New York regarding the "proper cause" statute in order to get a concealed carry permit. In communist NY you have to prove you have a "need" for a permit other than the fact that it's your Constitutional right.

Yes.....Don't most states issuing handgun or CC permits ask for the reason you want a handgun or CC permit?
I've had a GA and TN permit, neither asked why.

Only "may issue" states do that. "Shall issue states do not". If they vote the right way in this case it will turn communist states like Mass, NY, NJ, CT, CA, etc. into shall issue states.

A few years back in NH the local police would issue carry permits for CC. I remember the application asking why/reasons I wanted a CC. I assume they still do if you want a permit for carry in reciprocity states.

Yes, it's still the same application. I don't know why they had that question because we were always shall issue before Constitutional carry. I still get it for reciprocity even though we don't need it anymore.
