Can't sight in!

I have a 209x50 Encore with a vxII 3x9 Leupold. The Mounts and rings are the Burris double dove tail with offset inserts. Gun sighted in easy and shoots good. Now my problem. I bought a TC factory 7mm-08 barrel, correct forearm and another Leupold scope to match. Then purchased Leupold QR med rings and mount. At 100 yards I have run out of adjustment on the scope. It is shooting 1.50 inch groups six inches low with the scope maxed out all the way up. These were a very expensive mount and rings. I thought with the flat shooting 7mm-08 I would get away not having to use the Burris. Any suggestions on what I should do next???

you might check the rings and make sure they are the same heighth. If not put the taller one in the rear.other wise mabe a .020 shim under the back mount. Good Luck

I had the same problem w/ the 45-70 barrel, after 2 scopes(leupold&nikon) and 3 sets of scope mounts I finally got to zero using the Burris signature Rings w/ inserts. Take my advise, get the Burris rings and save yourself alot of time and headaches. Burris has a darn good mounting system there.
