An airstrike launched from within the Gaza Strip that hit a packaging plant in southern Israel Tuesday has killed two Thai workers, police say, as Israeli forces and Palestinian militants continue to exchange rocket fire.
The blast, which also left seven others injured, according to the Associated Press, came after the Israeli military said it "identified and struck 9 underground and above-ground rocket launch sites in Gaza" so far today.
President Joe Biden on Monday expressed support for a cease-fire as violence between Israel and Hamas entered its second week.

The Biden administration has limited its public criticisms to Hamas and has declined to send a top-level envoy to the region.
In this most recent round of fighting, Palestinian militants in Gaza have fired more than 3,100 rockets into Israel.
At least eight days of Israeli airstrikes and Hamas rocket barrages have killed more than 200 people, most of them Palestinian. It has been described as the worst Israeli-Palestinian fighting since 2014.

Rep. Carlos Gimenez, a member of a House Homeland Security Committee, tells Fox News he believes Hamas is testing the Biden administration’s “resolve to back our greatest ally in the area, Israel.”
Last week, Gimenez introduced a resolution with the support of at least 50 Republicans to condemn "the acts of terrorism committed by Hamas" and to support Israel's right to defend itself from attacks.
“Once Hamas and Hezbollah and the other Arab nations around understand that the United States will stand with Israel like they did in the last four years of the Trump administration – very strong supporters of Israel – I think that that will lead to peace,” he told “Fox & Friends First”.
