Worshipers at synagogue threatened by men screaming anti-Semitic slurs
'People are literally afraid to walk the streets,' state assemblyman says

Three young men spewed hateful threats to worshipers and damaged a car at a Brooklyn synagogue Saturday, "traumatizing" witnesses amid violence in the Middle East and New York.

The alleged agitators drove down 16th Ave in Borough Park yelling "f–k the Jews," "kill the Jews" and "free Palestine," as worshipers gathered to pray at the Agudath Israel of Sixteenth Avenue Orthodox around 8 p.m., witnesses said.

One witness told The Post the men got out of the car and gave chase to him and two other Jewish people while screaming hateful threats.

The purported instigators then banged on the doors of the temple, which had been locked by those inside marking the end of the Sabbath, according to witnesses on the scene.

After being locked out of the synagogue, a member of the group damaged the passenger side mirror of an unoccupied Audi Q7 that was parked outside of the building, before speeding off in a getaway car, witnesses told The Post.

"People are literally afraid to walk the streets," State Assemblyman Simcha Eichenstein said outside the synagogue early Sunday morning. "This Shabbos, I’ve had people tell me I never believed I'd hear this in my lifetime. I’m afraid to walk the streets, I’m afraid to let my children walk the streets of Borough Park."

"We need our leaders to come out forcefully. Today it’s the Orthodox community, tomorrow it’s a different community," the Democrat said.

Police were on the scene dusting the car for fingerprints after midnight, and detectives said they are investigating the alleged incident.

No one was injured, and no weapons were displayed, according to the witnesses, but community members were terrified.

"There were kids all over, it was traumatizing," an unnamed witness said.

The alleged hate crime, according to witnesses, comes two days after dozens were arrested in a Times Square melee that saw fists and fireworks flying between pro-Israel and pro-Palestine demonstrators.

No arrests or violence was reported at a large pro-Palestine march in Queens Saturday.

A tentative cease-fire between Israel and Hamas took hold Friday after an 11-day war over disputed territory in the West Bank left nearly 250 people dead — including 232 Palestinians.

A situational response, bullet to the brain for these domestic terrorists and Jew bashers, might dampen their enthusiasm to make permanent curb stops of their anti-Semitic selves.

I believe in self protection, and protecting my family. Innocents if necessary. At my age, and physical condition, I'm more reactive, than proactive, but willing to change gears if imminence is obvious.
Makin holes in antagonists, is not as exhilarating as some might think.

Dee, some thoughts.  I have no idea where your footsteps in this life have led.  I have never shot a man, particularly one intent on killing me or someone else.  In my life I have hunted and shot hundreds of animals.  Animals die when shot - some more aggressively than others.  I have no regrets.

I am cerebral enough to realize that calm and calculated hunting conditions are psychologically unrealistic in the event of an exchange with a man.  I suspect men die similarly to animals because humans are animals.

While not tested, I like to think I am up to the task of shooting a man to save another.  I hope I won't have to find out if I have "The Right Stuff".  ****, I may wet my pants, before, during, or after.  IDK how I will react.  I do know that I am primed by the tirades of cheaters, liars, thieves, the FNN's, Politicians, a belly full of "Social Justice", and a myopic Conservative view of what is Right (to me) versus Wrong.

Many have had their lives touched by death.  In my case, there are two words for war - wholesale death - the carnage of which can be seen in the face of my boy, home from the Tip of the Spear, and steeled into a man in a way I can only imagine.  I see the words of a retired General and reflect on them:

The first time you blow someone away is not an insignificant event. That said, there are some ***holes in the world that just need to be shot.

Some will accept and handle their responsibility in the taking of another's life.  Some will die slowly inside their mind reliving the experience.  Survivor guilt, I hear, is a tough road to hoe.  Society has made it worse too - for the Survivors.

I find your quote from General Mattis interesting, as I found Mattis interesting, and some of his quotes in other places.

Mattis to my knowledge, sent other soldiers into combat and had them do the killing, but didn't do any himself.

So his quote, while implying HE knows the feeling, sounds more like bravado, than hands on killing.

Mattis entered the marines as a 1st Lt upon graduation from college.
Its interesting to know that Mattis has a net worth of 5 million dollars. I didn't know the military paid that good.

As to ghosts of past experiences, mine are not of my three past assailants who lost, but survived.
Mine are the victims.
It doesn't take courage to kill. Fear, just plain meanness, jealousy and  greed can be the motivation.

I wasn't questioning your courage, I was saying the aftermath of such a fight is a dark feeling even when in the right.

I have met, and arrested folks that needed killing, but it wasnt their day, or my designation to do it.

I never judge a man for a fight I wasn't in.

But having been in such fights, I'm not anxious to re-enter.

We are troubled with some high field grade officers coming out of the military. It appears that Obama made it a point to promote a batch of misfits, and we are likely to be troubled with these kind for years ahead.

Biden is apparently doing the same, since we see the obsession by today's military, to recruit homosexuals and the gender-confused.

I had never heard of Mattis until Trump brought him into the mix. His hard core badass attitude got my curiosity up.
From what I could learn he went into the Marines as a 1st Lieutenant right out of college, and despite his machismo pegging the "macho meter" , his real expertise is sending troops into do the fighting, and his own trigger time being at the base range.

He once told a reporter that he keeps bad guys up at night.
Actually, the troops he "sent" kept them up.
He struck me as arrogant, and "politically minded".
His bank account supports my view.

We need an "I like it">

I've held a firearm on a man with intent to kill. I set my house up for retreat. I don't like what I felt and pray I never have to face that again weather I feel they need to be shot or not.
