Melting Pot
« on: March 05, 2004, 12:54:48 AM »
I am fairly new at this, but would advise anyone starting out to buy a good sized pot.  I bought the small and cheapest lee pot. With such a small amount of lead it is hard to try and control the temp. I find after weighing my balls or conical, I am throwing half of them back in the pot.
      Best regards,
                        Charlie

Hello Good time Charlie,

You must want the Cast Bullet Discussion forum we only use lead pots for making cores out of scrap lead. But I would agree with you on getting the best equipment possible for melting lead for this endeavor.
