TURKEY CHOKES?????
« on: March 07, 2004, 01:44:23 AM »
Hey guys im building a turkey rig out of a partner w/24inch tk special barrel.
I mig welded a (steele) oncore scope base and mounted a red dot sight.

My question is; what after market choke tubes are holding tight pattern in these barrels?

Thanks in advance

I cannot speak for the 12GA guys but I have had good success with the Hastings Compensator Ported Choke Tube in my 10GA.

Mig welded on a scope base? Does that work? I know there both steel but I thought it had to be silver soldered and a heat sink used and a bunch of other stuff that I know nothing about. I could mig weld one on. Sorry no info about choke tubes really i only hav a mod that ive use with steel and hevi shot for geese and a cyl bore tube that I've shot some slugs through. That rig your talking about would make a nice foster slug shooter with a cyl bore tube.
