Developed during WWII yet Ford stuck with Flat Head V-8 in cars for over another decade.
This used all the whiz bang tech. that every one went bonkers over in Indy and F1 cars in the sixties, amazing. (At that I still prefer a good ole push-rod V-8

DOHC sure does make a big HP difference, add a turbo and an aftercooler it gets even better.
