Never was a follower of ZZ Top, but they did have a couple a songs I liked.

Tom T Hall wrote a  song years ago, with a line that said "the best that you can hope for, is to die in your sleep".

If ole Dusty wasn't sick, I guess it was just his time. No fear, no panic, no dread, and no pain.

We all  have a time, and maybe Tom T. has a point.
You may all go to hell, I will go to Texas. Davy Crockett

The way I understand it, he was
having joint troubles ( skeletal,
not narcotics) and was having hip
replacement. Can't say if that had
anything to do with his death or not

I hate to see all the old people I
know passing on, but we all have
to take the same exit

Figure going in your sleep in your own bed is the best way. My grandfather passed that way and considering what I've seen/experienced with family and friends sure hope for the same.

I am a fan of that little ol' band from Texas and have a bunch of their music. It is sad that one of them is now gone.

I did see zz perform live in the mid 70s, before the big beards. An amazing performance.
