I am not very 'hip' on al this electronic world, but I don't take many chances either. A friend who is more familiar with the business (his son has a computer repair business)..tells me that if I use a credit card at a gas pump, I should hit the "clear" button once I am done. He says that cuts the time/opportunity for unscrupulous help to 'harvest' your info.
Right, DDZ.. From what I understand, some folks have had their savings wiped out after using a debit card. From what I understand, the debit card doesn't carry the same safeguards as the credit card. For that reason, my debit only carries access to checking only..not savings.
Buckskin.. to my knowledge, I have not yet been hit that way..what are you doing different? Do you have to use cards in tough neighborhoods?
