Wanted Dead or Alive, old Weaver Quick Point!!
« on: March 05, 2004, 03:09:08 AM »
I need an old Weaver Quick Point, Model  "R-1 or R-22 for my newest project gun.. (Longer version follows) --- Hi, I am trying to find an old Weaver Quick Point, rifle model, R-1 or R-22, dead or alive, working or not. I am building up my newest project gun, a close range, lightweight .22 Mag for varmits and coyotes, shots within 50-75 yards in Maine "greengrowth" (quite thick woods). I have an "as-new"  shotgun model I purchased from SWFA. It was described as "for rifles or shotguns" but was advertised incorrectly and is actually shotgun only, will not mount to weaver style rifle rings. It will only mount to the side of a shotgun receiver or action, will not fit on my "project" gun. I need either an older style working Weaver Quick Point (black, uses no batteries), style R-1 or R-22 or one which does not work to use the lower rifle mount section. I would really appreciate if you would look through your old gun stuff for one, or let me know if you see one for sale at a reasonable price. They would be about 18-20 years old and were not that expensive when new Thanks....<><....
