The new/old Jim Crow..
« on: August 12, 2021, 11:07:57 AM »
.
You knew it was coming.."progressive" groups are promoting racial segregation.  The lefties want to re-segregate.

   https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/say-no-to-anti-racist-racial-segregation-in-schools/ar-AANeFtm?ocid=msedgntp

Fact is, for much of the nation there never was such a thing as segregation.  Never had anything to do with Old Jim Crow either !
Come next month, I will be 85..as far back as I can remember, there was no such thing as "white" or "colored" facilities or waiting lines, and people would be chided by their neighbors for suggesting any kind of bias or segregation.

I cannot account for the psyche of any other person, but I suppose like today, there were some, both of the white or "people of color", who harbored hatred!  So, what do we do about that?

Do we do as some are doing today...generate up as much animosity and hatred as they possibly can?

This sudden ugliness can be laid completely at "progressive' feet..  By time "W" Bush was in office, things were comung along well...and we had all learned quite well, how to coexist.

Then, in comes a guy who used to be named Barry Sotero...a guy who admits to hanging around in college, with Islamists...and even changed his name to Barack Hussein..

Did anyone notice a perceptible rise in racial tensions during his tenure?

Does anyone recall the photo that caught George Soros at Barack Hussein's presidential campaign kickoff?

Did anyone notice how Obama seemingly "came out of nowhere" to run for president ?  THINK !!

Be honest with yourself..if nobody else..D  Do you really believe that George Soros has the best interests of the United States, foremost in his plans?

..And keep mind  , he tried to and almost did, destroy the UK.

I am 68 and there was "white" and "colored" bathrooms and water fountains, side by side in the late 50's early 60's.  I remembered getting on the "colored" horse in a department store as a very little kid.  My mom pulled me off and wait for the "white" horse even though someone else was riding on it.  It confused me because both were identical.  This was all done away with by the mid-1960's in the Deep South.  So yes there were separate facilities, separate serving areas in restaurants, etc.  Separate bathrooms and so forth.

We, however overcome all this in the Deep South back in the 1960's and early 1970's.  Not without problems.

Fast forward today.  We in the Deep South have integrated everything, chruch, marriages, everything and have very little trouble.  Most of the trouble today is big city liberals and liberals in general who look for racism in everything, thus CRT teaching.

When all the riots were taking place in Minnesota, Missouri, Oregon, Washington etc, most of the Deep South went by relatively untouched, except maybe Atlanta where a lot of Northern big city liberals or west coast liberals moved to.

The Deep south states have about 1/3 black population with far less problems than the Northern big cities.  However, a lot of these northern big city blacks are poor, and crime is high.

Why the difference?  Churches.  Black and White churches got together and said they would work together to keep this from happening in the south.  Mostly evangelical churches.  The "salt" of Christianity kept riots at bay.

From my experience in the south in the 50s, and later experience in the 60s and 70s, I believe you have offered a true assessment.

Having lived in the south in the 50s..and then return in the 60s & 70s, i have to admit I was surprised with the rapid adaptation and change.  ..And no thanks to any 20th century northern 'carpet baggers".

What todays middle agers on down don't seem to understand..nobody is saying bad things didn't happen !

Yes; bad things took place..slavery was a fact, but compared to the places where slaves were taken from, America outlawed the ugly trade some 165 years ago..while the trade is still prospering in Africa.

There are no former slaves or slave owners alive, besides only a very small segment of the total popultion ever owned any slaves. So, what did we do, we corrected it !

To call for all this hate and division, is much like a fellow in 1929 having a farmer run into his new Model "A" with his hay wagon..right on the main street of a small village.

The farmer made amends as best he could, and they departed satisfied.

Then comes 2017, and the Model "A" owner's grandson takes the farmer's great grand daughter to court..

He wants $30,000 for "mental anguish" and the fact that his grandfather was upset for 2 days.

Judge asks..."Did your grandfather tell you that"?  The fellow replies.."No, I never knew my grandfather, he died before I was born"!  ...And the young lady's great grandpa died in 1949..

.."But" he adds,...." there were other people in town  who minded their own business and had nothing to do with the accident...can I sue them "?  Can't the town raise taxes on today's residents, to cover my grandpa's "mental anguish" ?

...Same thing some are demanding now..

Like Dixie Dude said, here in the deep south at least things were separate until the late 50s or maybe early 60s. I never saw where it caused any problems for anyone but then I'm not black.

There were separate water fountains, rest rooms, and pretty much everything else. But they bought in same stores and checked out at same registers as whites. They had separate schools, I have no idea how good or bad those schools were but they looked as nice as "ours" did and they had black teachers which we didn't.

They rode same bus but in the back until one day one didn't want to sit back there. Heck I used to sit in the back often when no one but whites were on the bus. I kinda liked riding back there.

CRT is trying to dig up anything and everything in the past to show racism.  I say enough is enough.  We've solved a lot of problems.  Liberals today aren't solving any problems, they are creating new ones.  It is all to destroy American history, 90% good, and replace it with socialism/communism.  Old communists, new wrapper.

Also, they call anyone who don't agree with them NAZI's.  Well NAZI's and Communists are two sides of the same coin.  Statism.  Government control of everything.  NAZI's allowed capitalism but told capitalists what to do or build (war materials), while communists just took over the production all together even if they didn't know how to run it.

I read where the aircraft company Heinkel, made a fairly large two engine passenger plane.  Hitler asked Heinkel to make bombers for the government.  Germany at the time wasn't at war.  Heinkel was old but in good health.  A few weeks later he died.  The new directors of Heinkel decided to make the Heinkel bombers for Hitler.  An example of NAZI's allowing capitalism but telling them what they wanted made as first priority.  The NAZI's knew the capitalists knew how to make and run things much better than the government.

Anyway, both ism's use state control.  These socialists (communists) today don't realize they are copying the NAZI tactics to get more and more control.

Hitler was socialist (National Socialist Party, NAZI), but hated Stalin and how the communists completely destroyed capitalism and drove their country into the ground, so he was at least smarter than Stalin, but more ruthless by using capitalist companies to make planes, tanks, and war materials.

Well the television has separate
black and Latin talk shows, a
black only spelling bee, Latin
political shows,  black networks
where the programming must
be predominately black,  Spanish
language only networks, vietnamese
language only networks,  punjabi
only networks, gay/ crossdressing
only shows, etc. etc.

BUT I've yet to see the white only
television networks and programming.
Not seen any white supremacy
programs.  No white separatist
talk shows or news shows
Not that you'd know that to
hear some talk
18 MINUTES.  . . . . . .

We are called the United States, but the communist left is using any device they can, in their effort to divide, and thus destroy...the United states..

Saul Alinsky said the present system must be destroyed..so they can usher in their communist "Utopia" !

    My dictionary;

  Conservative..
Conserve & preserve wht has worked very well for us since 1787, as we seek to improve where change may be needed.

  Progressive..
"Progress".. at all costs..Just  plunge into new or other ways of doing things, then later.. look back to see how well or how badly they worked...     ...Which may be too late...

My first 7 years of elementary school, there were no blacks in the area.
8th grade was in town and blacks had their own schools.
They had hot lunches, we didn't, they had a band in high school, we didn't.
Our high school was locked on weekends, theirs was always open and in the winter when the weather was too bad to even duck hunt, we would go to their school and play basketball with them.  Everyone got along fine.
Our movie was segregated, black in the balcony, whites below, and the blacks knew that if someone threw something down on the whites, they would all be run out and the balcony closed for months.
