Fishing with bait

I very seldom use ultralight gear
when bait fishing. The exception is
a couple of places in Oklahoma and
Arkansas for those small trout 
I use a teeny tiny hook and a teeny
split shot with a bait.
Otherwise the ultralight fishing I
do is pretty much all rooster tails,
mepps, and road runners. Beetle
spins when I can find the preferred
colors

Well I was wrong
The cheapo spin cast rod I was
using says "ULTRALIGHT " on the
bottom of it in tiny letters.
I'd have sworn it was just a whippy
medium action
It's got a good backbone to be an
ultralight
