Real black powder
« on: September 10, 2022, 05:11:45 PM »
What are others around the country
having to pay a pound for the real
black powder similar to what's been
used for hundreds of years ?
Not the substitutes, but real black.
A not too familiar acquaintance was
trying to find some, but I don't know
that he wants to pay the current
price for what the people that actually
offer and have black in stock are asking.
18 MINUTES.  . . . . . .

I'm hoping to see Goex back on the shelves before long. When Estes Energetics bought the closed Hodgen Goex plant, they said they were going to start production of Goex later this year. I haven't bought any for awhile and don't even know if any is available right now, except powder from overseas.

Last I paid was about $25/lb from Grafs for Swiss and I was glad to find it.  Way more than it should be but better than trying to make your own.  I'm good for a while now.
