Quite a Dilemma........What To Do??????????
« on: March 07, 2004, 08:33:47 AM »
Several months ago, I started setting money aside to close on a to-be-determined double-wide in a nice senior park (no old fart comments  ) The deal is done and there is a chunk of cash left over burning a hole in my pocket. Should I: (a) Get a new gun   (b) Go on nice hunting trip next fall    (c) Buy one tank of gas for the truck   (1.75 and climbing.....thank the Democrats and their Arab Buddies  )

While the hunting trip is nice it and the gas is a one time deal. The gun will give you enjoyment longer I would think? Jim
Said I never had much use for one, never said I didn't know how to use it.

Dali Llama say he suggest purchase of top of the line Kimber .45 ACP for concealed carry to protect aforementioned riches.  Dali say tubbythetuba not go wrong with such purchase. :-)

While the hunting trip is nice though no gaurantees of success,  it and the  I suppose several tanks of gas is a one time deal. The gun will give you enjoyment longer I would think even though I suppose you have more than a few. Or how about accessories for your guns new scopes ect ect. ? Jim

BamBams say Kimber make nice "backup" home defense gun, but for much less money, BamBams recommend Mossberg 590 Special Purpose.

Dali Llama say that be correct in the home, but any scattergun a bit difficult to conceal on one's person on the street. :-)

BamBams say that this works best on the street...........

Un-natural Gas
$12.99
"This quiet little can fits in the palm of your hand. Just move in within a foot behind your mark and give his clothing a 3-second burst. After a couple minute's delay, this clinging spray will reach it's full potency. No matter how hard he tries to fan the smell away, everyone around him will think something crawled up inside him and died. Commercial manufactured. Not shippable by Air."

Dali Llama say that he prefer hollowpoint projectile of .40 - .45 caliber for "street work."

As a fellow washingtonian I would say two things, 1) congratulations - there's nothing wrong with a double wide and 2) get another gun.

TTT,  I suspect that you, like me, are on the sunset side of 50. Like me, you probably already have a battery of guns for all scenarios. Why not take the hunting trip you have always wanted to do? Yes, the experience itself will soon be over, but, memories last a life time. After all, if you don't do it now, when will you?
