   I can't say for sure, but if some big city mayor had a crack-head child's whose finger paints, were selling for from $75K to  $500 K,  I bet there would be rumors of "money laundering", being repeated, every time the subject was brought up ! !

     Yes; Rockwell is probably the most appreciated American artist, while Remington undoubtedly, is the most popular western artist,
    I rather like Paul Detlefsen. Interesting to note..the three favorite painters chosen so far..are of the realist school.

  I had this Detlefsen print about 2' X 4', in  nice frame, which I recently passed to my grandson, as he took over a large part of my blacksmithing shop.

     Many of his "paintings" are accomplished by placing a sipping straw in his mouth, to blow paints onto a canvas.

  Wonder if he ever lapses into another pastime, and sucks some Prussian blue up or burnt sienna up his nose?
