   Grandson made it for a client as a special request. The client long wanted a "rasp knife" but never found exactly what he wanted...so he asked the big smith to fashion one. The customer loves it

  BTW: Click on it 2X to enlarge, and move it around with side sliders..to see close detail.

I took it to full screen and it is a gorgeous blade.
I can’t imagine having that talent.

  That darn grandson it seems is one of those guys who can make an masterpiece out of anything ! 

   I tried painting in oils and acrylics for a time, years ago.  No, not the Picasso or Biden abstracts class, but more the Hudson river school flavor.

   While I donated a couple paintings and sold a few...and  am sometime called upon to read an original poem for church or other gathering, I wasn't about to kid myself...  :D  ..so I moved to hot iron..

     He seems to do well in steel or wood or combining the two..and people come calling on him !

   BTW;  He just very recently started making sheaths and holsters of that stuff shown in the picture of
   the rasp knife..
