Paper Cartridges --Nitrated paper
« on: May 06, 2022, 04:04:14 AM »

Paper cartridges can leave a lot of crud in the chambers and may not light well. Some nitrate the paper first. Sort of a mess to do. Have any of you tried FLASH PAPER from a magic shop? Don't know if it is thick and strong enough for this job. Be careful this could go bad. It lights off very easy. Think it through first. I've heard that you can use cigarette papers.

You can nitrate papers with stump remover. Don't know the ratio of remover to water but it's on line some place. Mix with water and spray on your ZigZag.  Not all remover has the nitrate. I got the wrong one! :o  Burned SLOWER than the plane paper.  I am from the 70s. Wife saw the papers on the bench--  "Are you back sliding?"  I showed her the finished round.

Dixie Gun Works used to have a fairly
detailed write up in the back in the
information section of their catalog,
but I haven't bought one in some years
after the old man passed.
JMHO-  they dropped a lot of stuff that
TK would have carried forever +2 days if
he'd lived long enough
18 MINUTES.  . . . . . .
