Melatonin
« on: December 23, 2021, 06:04:24 AM »
Oh yes, it will sure help to put you to sleep. I tried it last night and it gave me a very freaky nightmare.
And I seldomly ever get nightmares, or  anything even close to that. No more of that for me.

What was the dosage?

Generally, an adult dose is thought to be between 1 and 10 mg. Doses near the 30 mg mark are usually considered to be harmful. However, people's sensitivity to it can vary, making some more prone to side effects at lower doses than others. Taking too much melatonin for you can lead to unpleasant side effects. Perhaps, in your case you need to cut the dosage.

Yes it’s my fault,I took two that’s 20% mg. The first time it just blacked me out, and 12 hours went by. I don’t recall anything about that time.

I use melatonin infrequently. 2 5 mg pills and I sleep pretty good. I always have nightmares due to a guilty conscience I suppose. I remember the bad ones because they wake me up. It seems to not work as well after repeated use for me. Rugby brand. Also I take it 1/2 hr before I turn in.

For 1.5 years I had chronic diarrhea that caused me to lose 50 pounds.
The doctors did every test known to man and could find nothing wrong.
After they gave up, my wife suggested that I lay off the Melatonin and I was cured the next day.
If not for her it would probably have killed me.
