Dear Lord I know You care for me,
How very many times I see
The signs You leave throughout the day;
To let me know You passed this way.
How could I ever disbelieve,
Who feel Your hand upon my sleeve?
Nor lose my way throughout the land,
Who find Your footprints in the sand?
And though my mind is much too small
To weigh the wonder of it all,
The least among us here must see
The awful price You paid for me.
I know that You are every place,
I do not have to see Your face,
And that through all that is to be,
Dear Lord, that You will care for me.
