Colonel Oleksandr "Grey Wolf" Oksanchenko who was the Ukrainian Air Force Flanker display pilot between 2013-2018 has lost his life on Friday night when his jet was shot down over Kyiv by Russian S-400 Triumph Air Defence Missile System.

Col. Oksanchenko was not only a very experienced pilot who won a number of awards for the best flying display at many events across Europe, but he was also a true fan of airshows. Despite leaving the active service and joining the reserves in late 2018 he volunteered to remain in the Ukrainian Flanker Solo Display Team as a coach/advisor and travelled with the team during the 2019 display season which was also the last airshow season for the team.

He came out of retirement to defend his country from the Russian invasion and paid the highest price. Col. Oksanchenko was posthumously awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine by the president of the Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

So is this a real story or another fake like the ghost of Kiev? I can't believe people fell for that silly ghost of Kiev story.  As a former Air defense soldier I saw through it immediately.  These planes were flying around super low and the was no ground fire. Only a complete dolt could have fallen for that video game footage.

..And it looks like the Ukraine may get more planes from Poland.

  News said today, that Ukraine is getting 17,000 more critical weapons...most of them Javelins.

  Maybe that Russian convoy should stay where it is...   ;D

Why is the Russian convoy just sitting there and no one is attacking them? I don't think the Ukraine is doing as well as the news is saying.

" Why is the Russian convoy just sitting there and no one is attacking them? I don't think the Ukraine is doing as well as the news is saying."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  If they are not moving, they are not attacking.  If the Ukrainians get air power, they may hit them where they are.
   However, it would seem that any infantry attack there would be attacking an already fortified position.
  Perhaps it would be better to attack the vehicles one by one as they move, with infantry available weapons, rather than to come up against an already dug in position.
   There are now 40mm launcher grenades, which will penetrate 2 inches of armor.  That looks like great truck and APC medicine, fired from cover among the woods or city ruins.
   https://www.quora.com/Can-an-M203-launched-40mm-HEDP-grenade-destroy-a-tank-or-another-armored-vehicle
   ..And from Wiki, for what it is worth;
  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/40_mm_grenade
  Probably some of those 40mm grenades my grandson was developing a few years ago, but couldn't tell me anything about.  ;D
If this guy is the ''grey ghost of kiev'' or something like that, its been proven to be fake.  Never happened  and not plausible according to seasoned fighter pilots.
I think Poland has changed their minds about sending war aircraft, since that might make them an enemy combatant. We'll  see.
..
Convoy? Russians must feel pretty secure to be lined up like that. Col MacGregor says Ukrainian  military is wiped out, but fascist brigades will go to cities and towns and mix in with civilians.
Zelenskyy's  WEF handlers will try to convince him to carry on a protracted guerrilla war, which will lead to stagflation in the US and wiped out retirement and savings portfolios.  And possibl famines.  But the Globalist don't care and want that.
Sad thing is the solution is simple and obvious for all parties.
I agree with you here. If the Ukraine was fighting like the media wants us to believe,  there would be hit and run attacks on that convoy.  They are staged there waiting to encircle Kiev and then lay siege.
It's on the internet so it has to be true. I don't believe anything they are reporting about this war.
Bob, what I'm saying is so much of the stuff they are pushing on this war has been proven to be pure bs, I'm skeptical of it all.
Col. Oksanchenko was the real deal. A pilot’s pilot. Don’t believe the ghost of Kiev story but that doesn’t lessen Col. Oksanchenko’s many accomplishments.
He was very skilled and highly thought of in the aviation community. Died defending his country.
