I was mostly thinking of those around me that I have personal contact with when I wrote that...

How about a bottle of local barbecue sauce when it becomes available?

I used to keep a quart of charter and a quart of clear in the cupboard. No longer have a line on that. Sorry.

All the moonshine I have seen doesn't mess with metric measure, it comes in quart jars. I have quart that was a Christmas present that is aging until summer where it will be mixed with orange juice and ice. Would that combination be called a hillbilly screwdriver. I call it pretty darn good on a hot summer afternoon.

im lucky to have a guy who rents my apartment right now out back that makes it. Its not as good as what i had back in the day down south but its drinkable. I always have a jar or two. But that said probably prefer a glass of bourbon for my one a day sipping.

Yep, other than the romance of it, I don't understand the fascination with shine.  A good aged bourbon is just so much better.  And, that's coming from someone who had a family member who used to make the stuff.

I have pictures of my grandfather standing on “1” of his stills. I used to drink bourbon. I think the last one was old crow. Fitting eh? I liked Jim beam, just not the price.
