Truck came and filled the farm diesel tank. $4.99 for off road diesel. $5.25 yesterday.

Reason for the drop? UAE reported to increase production. So not pure supply and demand. More a perception of supply and demand. (Futures market)

So you don't like the high prices for gas, food and everything else..you don't like the stupid deals Biden cuts with our enemies..or the inflation that is eating up your savings & retirement?

A BP near me went from $4.19 on Tuesday to $4.39 today.  Diesel fuel was $5.45.9  Even if you don't have a truck with a diesel engine, we are all going to pay for the high cost of Diesel fuel, in the way of paying for everything that is farmed, and manufactured with diesel fuel, and everything that is hauled with diesel fuel.  I'm hearing people say. "I'm glad I don't have to buy diesel fuel".  I tell them yes you are paying for the cost of diesel fuel.

if you look at the big picture gas prices arent even high yet. Matter of fact its a bargain. I remember when gas prices hit a buck a gallon around 1980. At that time i just got a job with the power company and made 6 bucks an hour. Same job today pays 6 times more so until gas breaks 6 bucks a gallon cost of living make it more expensive then. Heck when i retired i made 43 an hour and the same job today is over 50. Same with cars and trucks. First new truck was in 79 it cost 7k and was a loaded chev Cheyan. Again i made 6 bucks an hour so 6 time is 42 and then look at a new truck for 50 and compare it for what you get in luxury and technology and just the fact it lasts 3 times longer and makes up the difference in price in the first 100k just in gas milage. Actually gas is a bargain today at 4.29. I remember dad complaining about buy a house about 15 years ago when he paid 180k for it. He said he paid 10300 for his in 64 and it was brand new. I asked him what he made then. It was his first year working fed civil service. He said 2.70 an hour. How many here remember gas rationing? At least today theres still plenty of gas and you can buy all you want. Yup paying more sucks. But look at what we have today. My dad never had near the toys i have or the guns or money to blow on things. At least not till all of us kids grew up. I remember him stuffing wet rags in the rust holes in his car in the winter so theyd freeze and keep the cold air out. He worked side jobs fixing furnaces for 2 years to buy his first snowmobile. They couldnt afford a new car till he was 35 years old and my ma and him were both working. In the big picture we are spoiled today. Probably why we cry so loud. Heck i dont like paying more for gas but most who cry the loudest have 1000 dollar cell phones and pay over a 100 bucks a month for a cell phone plan. Eat fast food a couple times a week and have a 100 channels on there big screen tv. Comical thing is they consider those things essential not a luxury they could live without. Our parents and even more so our grandparents would look at us as filthy rich with all the crap we own that we could go without. I could just see grandpas eyes if he looked just at my gun collection. He had a 94 winchester a model 12 12 guage and a single shot 22.

Just paid 3.85 87 octane. Saw where if gas were in line with inflation it should be 2.04 a gallon.

All i can say is look what the job you work or retired from pays today and what you got paid in 1980. Then look at the price of gas then and now. Just look at home prices In 1980 the average home was 47,200 dollars today its  199,200 Even using just that the price of gas should be at 4 bucks a gallon. LB of hamburger in 1980 was a buck. Today good luck finding it for 5. Do you really think we will ever see 2.50 a lb burger again, the avearge price of a home 50k. Heck a decent camper or pickup will set you back that much. ?  Why is gas any different?  Dont get me wrong id love to see it. I have better things to spend my money on then gas and hamburger but i wouldnt hold your breath. Can you show me some facts that back up gas should be 2.04 factoring inflation. Gas hasnt been 2 bucks a gallon since 2004. Thats 20 years of inflation you have to factor in.

This comes from a point of around 1970 when gas was a .25 a gallon. It was opinion. I don’t know how much if any research went into it. Also I was paying 1.60 a gallon 2 years ago and for a short time in the  lockdown it was $1 a gallon. Gas prices have been rising and falling with no set price.

Gasoline was $1.79 here when Biden plunked his butt in the president's chair and immediately did away with the Keystone pipeline and stopped federal oil leases. That was a little more recent than 2004. By the way, we were also oil independant at that time and even exporting oil. Now we are making a deal with the Iranian devil to get oil. Thank you, slo jo, you worthless, senile, SOB.

i totaly agree with you. I too like cheap ANYTHING. But we were spoiled with the price of gas. I agree too that theres been a few times when we were spoiled even more like you mentioned. But if you think about it thats about like ford having a sale on f150s at 20k. Now if you want to talk getting ripped off lets look at primers. 22lr and alot of centerfire ammo and even guns have come down in price but there still ripping us off with primers and powder. Those manufactures didnt face new regulations and tripled there prices. Someone pocketed MILLIONS of dollars ripping us off. Wonder how many bought russian made primers during that crunch.

Funny thing with that is they claim oil controls all prices of food and about everything manufactured and we didnt see the price of burger or cars or anything else drop by 2/3s when the price dropped. If anything the price of food and everthing else didnt drop with it. If anything it went up in price. seems like a one way street. When oil prices go up everything goes up and when they come down everything else stays high.
