  Using their great visionary foresight..it is to their great credit !  We seem to have very few similar minds in congress today, it seems most are worried about how soon they can "cash in" on their office !

There is a great book "If we can keep it" by Michael Tomasky.  It is a historical review of the development of political parties from the revolution until 2019.  Most interesting is how our election/legislative process really demands a TWO party system.  In most European systems even losing parties can get some seats in the legislature, here the winner takes all (at the district level, so some will be Republican some Democrat but really NO third party wins.  The losing third parties join one side or the other to get some say)  In parliamentary process seats are awarded based on % of votes won, so a 10% party can still get 10% of the seats.

   That is interesting to contemplate..  Here in the US, we seem to have a growing independent vote.
  Some states only allow registered party members to vote in primaries, so  one wonders how that growing independent vote would change things.

Spring of 2020 or 2022…
If the country in which you reside fell victim to a coup by its enemies, what do you suppose would subsequently occur? Damage. Destruction. Defeat. Every single direction and decision made in the last 15 months has the United States' demise as the goal. The Plandemic was the Trojan horse to gain entry. Our economy was purposely devastated; our borders flung open with nothing but evil intent, our energy independence vanquished to cripple us to death. We still have a third of the country in ignorance and denial. Another third made up of the childish little Leftist rubbings their hands together, "We're going to get our utopia!" Fantasies! Children! You just want to spank them and send them to bed without their supper (or worse).
Friends, I have said this before, repeat it often, Joe Biden has not made ONE of these decisions! He is there for us to look at and yell at, a DISTRACTION purposely selected for his brain-deadness. The Globalists are running our country. The Deep State, no doubt led by Barack Obama, is running our country. Communist China, Big Tech and Big Media, Big Pharma and other in-bed-with-the-government corporations run our country. 
Criminals! THAT IS WHO IS PRESENTLY RUNNING OUR COUNTRY!!! Like a vicious and callus gang of outlaws in the old west, they pounce over each other in kicked-up dust, grabbing up the loot. Death and destruction wrought on innocent men, women, and children leave them cold-stared like serial killers and psychopaths. We can yell all we want; they’re dead inside. 
Climate change is the next Big Club on the docket. I have no doubt they are also concocting another "disease" to kill a whole lot more people, but for now, wait until you see the gas prices and energy costs by this summer! Everything will again grind to a halt as per their plans. Welcome to your new boot on the neck!!! By the way, these psychos have made it known the earth's population is just a tad too much for their liking. Billions too much, and we ain't talking dollars; we're talking human lives. 
The time to stop all this occurred in the spring of 2020 after they released the bio-weapon using gain-of-function from the Wuhan lab. I KNEW immediately what was happening. I wrote on this medium more than once, perhaps even to your chagrin, that they would never allow Donald Trump another four years in office. He already delayed their sinister plans with one term; don’t think they didn’t kill millions around the world without blinking an eye, assuring his exit.
Well, two-thirds of America hid in their houses, saying, yes sir, no sir, to these devils in the spring and summer of 2020. Now what? Shoot our way out? They would love, love, love that, an easy excuse for the slaughter. Will we vote our way out, toss Leftists in a heap, until we’re left with the good guys, the primarily spineless, cowardly “good guys?’
I do not have the answers. Maybe they will be found in the solutions I just mentioned or elsewhere. It would have been much more manageable and effective if we had elected to die on our feet in the spring of 2020 instead of 2022 and beyond.

Parliamentary systems are the ones which lead to dictatorships.  Russia for a few months had the Dumas under the Tzar.  When the Bolsheviks took over, they outlawed other political parties.  The NAZI party won in the early 1930's and put Hitler as prime minister.  They quickly outlawed other political parties and made Hitler Der Furer, or supreme leader of Germans.  At least with a strong two party system, neither side gets everything all the time.  The supreme court helps sometimes.  The parties once respected each other and did a lot of compromising.  The far left seems to be in control of the democrats today and they are not good compromisers.  The far left want's to stop all oil drilling, and are hell bent on the "green new deal".  There is a middle ground, but they don't understand it is going to take 30 years to build enough windmills and solar panels to make a difference, and we need oil, gas, and diesel NOW.  Electric cars have to come down in price, up in range, and shorter charging times, not there yet.  Energy is the one big thing that we have to do everything.  Drill, frack, build wind and solar, as well as new nuclear facilities. 

It would help if there were term limits.  That is the first step.  Second is elected officials cannot buy or sell stock, or do book deals while in office.

No chance of any of this happening. The politicans aren't going to give any of this up. They have to make it happen and they won't give up their gravy trains.

We have always had term limits. People just have to stop voting for the same failure over and over but they won't. The worthless SOB we have as president is a perfect example. Almost 50 years in office without accomplishing anything worthwhile in all those years but here he is holding the highest office in the land.
