Had a Gold Cup many long years ago before they came up with the series '70 and '80 stuff on them. I never warmed up to it and traded it off for a revolver. I just can't warm up to the 1911 gun like many do.

No problem as I like the newer CNC Colt guns over the older ones. JMO. It's just for Colt as I have never any other 1911:

had its twin brother. shot ppc a couple years with it.It was a good gun. Ended up getting a good deal on a kimber gold match that outshot it by a tad and gave the gold cup to one of my nephews. Hes a city cop in a town nearby and carrys it off duty all the time.

Had a Series 70 back in the day. Carried as a duty gun for several months, then went back to a magnum.
