Memorial Day a bitover a month away..

  I have to start thinking about my Memorial Day speech to be delivered for 2 nearby towns..

  Any suggestions for something both timely and interesting ?  What would you expect to hear, so far as this year is concerned?

A fellow this morning gave a very nice prayer on behalf of Ukraine.
I don't know how you could put that into your speech.

I would describe things like Normandy and pause and ask folks to try and see it like it happened and remember the "kids" that grew to be men that day.
Make it gruesome.  :)

     I Can't get over the similarities between Ukraine fighting boss Putin with his super power backing... , and how the patriots fought King George lll .. and his 18th century super power !

  Then too, there is Ronald Reagan and his words.."Freedom is only one generation away from extinction...."

     I can fit  those themes in, OK !
