The Mars Rover is about to turn up it's toes

I didn't read anything but the headlines. It seems it's power system is about to fail. I can't help wondering how many taxpayer dollars were spent for this venture.

The parasites on this rock continue to grub.
Lemmings and Sheeple are fed a daily dose of Media lickspittle.
The "Pachinko Machine" of Wall Street creates the illusion of wealth.
Insurance is a scourge.
Redistribution of wealth keeps the slaves off of the Plantation Owner's daughter.
Greed and corruption ooze from every political pore.
Political cockroaches never get stepped on.
Truth is obscured in a barrage of coverups and lies.
The rich get richer.
The poor get poorer.
The Middle Class carries the water.

NOTHING changes on this rock.
Exploration diverts attention.
Expensive exploration redistributes wealth and creates jobs.
Job creation is Political Capital.
Political Capital shields a plethora of corrupted ills.

Pay no attention to that Man behind the curtain.
Move alone Citizens.  Nothing to see here.

You must be thinking of a different craft, this InSight does not have wipers for its solar panels.
