Just got my pair and they are nice.  My tennies and shoes are 13 but I went with a 12 E (the fact that they didn't have any 13's may have also played a part in this :grin: )
While I haven't worn them at a match yet (do that this week-end) they fit real well around the house.  Drives the cats crazy but then who can tell about cats anyway?

I have a pair of boots that my brother-in-law gave me.  They're made by the Buffalo Runner Boot Co. of Henrietta, Texas.  Knee high, roper heel, and cut for wearing outside the pants.  I have to wrap my pants leg to get them on, and then the knees blouse and work out the tops, looking untidy.  I guess peg-leg pants would cure the problem.  What say you?

I wear Tombstone Outfitter pants  which have a much tighter fit than the others.  This does help.

I just wrap my pants legs inside my socks and pull the boots on.  They do bunch up a bit above the boots, though.

They ladies were saying if we sewed stirrups on the bottom of the legs they would keep the pant legs from coming out.  Since I also wear these pants over my Ropers think I'll pass on the stirrups.

Before you put your boots on, pull your pants legs down as far as possible.  Using both hands, grasp the bottom of the pants leg and fold the loose materiel around toward the back of your ankle (you'll end up with a pleat on each side) and put a couple of wraps of masking tape around it.  Works like Cheyenne's sock trick, but holds considerably better.  Just don't make the tape so tight it cuts off circulation.

 As far as the pants legs, I use the technique I used years ago when I was riding dirt bike enduros. Use two pair of socks. Put one regular length pair on as normal. Then put on a pair of 'boot socks' over the first pair of socks, and roll them up and over your pants' legs. Holds the pants legs between the two pair of socks really good, and doesn't irritate your skin.

You're correct about the spurs post.  I'm having a heck of a time getting the forum to take my posts from work.  Guess I was so intent on getting a post that I didn't see which topic I was in (another way of saying I messed up :grin: )

Great idea about the double socks.  I'll give it a try next time

CR or anyone else who has bought these boots, how do they run fer size and width. My other boots are a "B" width so thet "D" seems kinda wide even fer two pair o socks. Hmmm spose I cud try Three pair. :>)   Charlie Bull   :twisted:  :twisted:

I wear 13 in everything but these.  Got 12 wide (whatever they call it) and they are a bit big but don't rub my big toe like most shoes do (got duck feet).  Wish I could have tried on several pair but Nebraska is a bit far from Houston.
