1969 Remington 760 BDL Deluxe in .270. Been looking for one of these for a while now, and this one popped up not a mile from my house.
Have the 308 and 06 and wanted the .270 to complete the set.
If you notice in the pic, the flip up scope cover on the rear is secured with electrical tape.
The gun was priced REALLY right and in an honest 90% condition. I noticed the tape, but did not even look through the scope. When I got home I removed the tape and the scope cover. I was surprised to find the scope was a Bausch and Lomb Balvar 8B with a cool tapered crosshair and a dot in the center. Apparently a fairly pricey scope in its day. The gun also has a B&L base. Not sure if the rings are B&L or not.
The B&L set up is not my cup of tea, but I almost hate to replace it as I suspect it's probably been on the gun for quite some time.
