Concrete will solve all your problems. No leaves or dead blooms, no trimming to deal with, wash it off with a water hose every few months, and relax the rest of the time.
I just did away with a pretty good chunk of lawn and the wife is wanting to do about that much more.
Tatum website said 104.3 degrees yesterday and mine didn't wilt a bit. Of course I still have a couple of big trees and some ornamental bushes but I just gave all of them a drink except the big elm. It's on it's own when it comes to water and seems to do OK.
