May be a bad sensor, but you can also reset the sensors to see if they somehow lost the setting, check owners manual, or the net, to see if yours can be reset.

The easy way is to go to O'Reillys Auto Parts and they can check your codes for free. Also, disconnect the hot cable to your battery for 10 minutes, and that will clear the codes.

spend any money

Tire pressure monitors get gilflirted all the
time by the ham handed people that get
hired by car places these days.
Same thing with the oil change monkeys
that get hired cheaply. Strip out drain plugs
and sometimes don't properly refill the
engine and eff up the oil level sensors that
some cars have. Refill with the wrong oil etc.

I had that problem. Took it to the repair shop and they were busy and just checked the air manually. No problem. Then no more problem for months. Then one night (why does it always happen at night?) the tire was flat and we weren't at home. So I got to learn how to use one of those pay tire pumps at the only gas station for about 20 miles. Anyway, turned out to be a roofing bolt thru the tire tread. Got it fixed now. Oh, and my car is a plug-in hybrid and has no spare tire and really no place to put one. What a great design we have in these modern times.

ive seen cars trip the traction control light with low air pressure if they have stability control. ive also seen a bad wheel bearing do it.

Years back we got free oil changes with the purchase of a new car, after a length of time I popped the hood and whoever did the oil change had the plastic housing on wrong and the oil cap was open. So for multiple miles my engine was sucking in dust and debris. I do most of my own oil changes but never took it back to the dealer... Oh yeah, it was Chevy.

I had a comical one with the first polaris razor i bought. It had 500 miles and i took it in for its first oil change like the book said. I had the dealer do it so they wouldnt question warrantee issues. Come to find out the kid that DID there oil changes (hes no longer working there) was only 17. A high school drop out. He drained the transmission instead of the engine then dumped 3 more quarts of oil in the motor! I got it home and the son in law borrowed it. He called later that day and said it locked up and caught on fire. Luckily there was a buddy with him with a fire extingisher. There was oil blown all over it and the transmission was completely fried. Got so hot it cracked the cases in two places and caught the oil on fire. Dealer went good for it but they tried to blame me. One call to polaris and i got a call back from the dealer in half a day saying it was covered. Ask me if ill buy from that dealer again. When i bought the second razor and my new general i got it in writing that it was ok to do my own oil changes and still be covered if something happened. Dont know what that paper they signed would have been worth if something happened though. Luckily the other razor had no problems and i havent had a single issue with the general either. Same with my new trucks. I talked to the service manager and they said doing my own is fine as long as i keep the receipts for the oil and filters and some kind of a log showing which date they were done on and reset the oil life meter. When i bought the new ram they told me they wish more would do it because they cant find workers and sometimes just an oil change is a month wait to get an appointment.
