I'm not selective in who I remove posts from but I have to see them to be aware of them unless someone calls one to my attention. I don't remember anyone doing that in a very long time.

I do not read all threads nor all posts in threads. Much of the stuff just really doesn't interest me so I can't delete what I don't see.

Honestly a lot of what is discussed here is just not of interest to me. Sometimes when a thread goes past 50 replies I wonder if it has turned into a pissing contest so I will go to near the end and check for that. When I find it is I delete overt personal attacks.

I still allow you guys as much latitude as I can personally feel comfortable allowing. That means some lighter name calling or personal attacks I try to ignore so long as it doesn't get overt. Yeah all that is very much subjective and might change depending on the mood I'm in that day.

I'd really love to just let you guys post any/everything you want but dang it some propriety has to be enforced.

As to whatever the bug did it was long ago and I won't go looking for his posts. IF you want to point out that post to me with a link I'll make it go away. He has himself gone away cuz the folks here aren't his kinda folks or something to that effect. I posted his going away comments here for you guys to see why he is no longer here.

If/when he wants he can return but if/when he does I'll delete any offending posts by him. I'd guess I've prolly deleted more posts of his than anyone's. Mule is likely the next most deleted and I actually share most opinions with him and think we'd get along just fine if we ever met. Still he does go over the line as he and I have discussed, Dan you and Lloyd seem to be kinda even and next up in line on deletions by me. Heck I like all guys but have some rules and when not followed your posts are subject to deletion by me if I see them.

We have 3 super moderators here and any of then can delete your posts. I'm not real sure how actively any of them do delete posts as I don't check the moderator logs. I suspect tho you can blame the majority of deletions on me and I'll be happy to tell you why if you ask me even tho rules do say don't ask, so don't ask the super mods, they likely won't say. I don't mind telling you cuz I hope it will reduce the need to remove posts going forward.

As a Moderator of GBOR, those are the sentiments in which I am most like Bill.

1.  SHOW US the posts that are devolving into name calling and peeing contests.  It is as much ON YOU to self-police here as it is on us to catch it...

2.  I do not read every thread.  I am not that interested.

3.  I am REAL MOODY these days as I recover from colonoscopy, bilateral inferior turbinate reduction, and deviated septum and nasal polyp removal.  You can sarcastically jest that I had my brain sucked out through my ***, but the pain remains, and it does not improve my sense of humor.

4.  I am here every day, particularly in the early a.m., and some days three to four times throughout the day.  I LIKE the Hunting, Shooting, Reloading, Casting, Handgun, Rifle, Classifieds, Optics, H&R, et al similar Forums.  You guys get wrapped around an axle over POLITICS, RELIGION, and the NEWS.  I read and respond to a few Political and News posts, but never religion. 

5.  I like it here.  It is comfortable and lively.  When I find stuff, I delete stuff.  There ARE Rules.  PLEASE look at them again.  NO WHINING over selective enforcement...
