had to chuckle this morning .
« on: October 22, 2022, 08:12:32 AM »
comming back from camp we were driving through a tiny town that has just a coop grocery store and a tavern and when me made the turn onto the highway that goes through there we met up with Gretchen Whitmer's campaign buss. Right behind it a state cop so i couldnt pass them. Got to the little town and the bus pulled into the bar with the state cop right behind them. They actually have a state cop following along. Must be afraid of the pro repubican crowd around here. Im sure they were comming from some ralley at Northern Michigan University. Its liberal central up here. Theres even a sign advertising that college comming into to town that BRAGS its the most liberal college in michigan!!

you aint just a kidding there!! Its become a nail biter. Everyone though whitmer couldnt even be challenged but i think right now she only has a 4 percent lead. I haven been drunk in 30 years but if we take the senate and house and whitmer gets beat im going to polish off a fifth of brown.
..But it may be Whitmer's last hurrah... hjopefully..

If Michigan is anything like NY State, and every gun owner would get their butt out and VOTE..she would probably lose by a margin.

For that reason, I am discouraged by certain percentage of 2nd amendment, flag waving guys....

Dems are mostly running on killing babies and gay rights as they can’t talk about any other cause as it shows their complete failure and destruction of our country. It’s not enough that jimmy and Johnny can share a pillow they also need to be married.

..And now, Jimmy can become Janey..Johnnie can be part Joan..and get pregnant...  ..But they won't have much money left over to
provide for a baby, after they buy their legal drugs...so they will get government assistance to kill the baby..

Makes sense...  to a leftist, I guess...

comical thing was she spoke at that liberal college the went to one of the tiniest towns in the area. Im talking small. Like around 500 people. Then there was only a couple cars in the bars parking lot. Why? because they didnt publicize the fact they were stopping there most likely because they didnt want people like me that would ask the hard questions in there. Im sure what they did was find a liberal bar owner and told him to only invite his liberal friends. If you drove between marquette where that liberal college is and that small town Dixon campaign signs in peoples yard are at least two to one compared to hers. Just seemed fishy she stopped in that tiny town with barely anyone there instead of driving another 30 miles to the town I live in that has 10 times the population. She had to come right through here to get back to the bridge and go home anyway. Told my wife if I would have known she was going to be there id have put on my F--- socialists t shirt and went in open carrying. Which is legal here in a bar as long as they serve food and your not drinking. Wana bet they would have taken my gun away and infringed on that right!! That bar is a nice ride from here on a snowmobile or side by side. We go there all the time for a ride and lunch. I wont step foot in that place or give them a dime ever again.

ill tell you something else odd We pulled out onto the highway from a side road right behind that bus and black yukon and a state police car bringing up the rear. I was directly behind the state tropper. Obviously wasnt speeding or doing a thing wrong. He pulled over to the side of the road. I thought he might be turning around but nope. As soon as i went by he pulled back out and sped up to catch me and was all but tailgating me. Seemed odd at the time but the wife said this morning that she wondered if they did that to get behind me and run my plate to see if I was someone to worry about and to get my address in case i did something. I wonder what it cost us tax payers to have a state tropper follower her on her 800 plus mile round trip.

no this area is mostly pro trump and republican. The only real stronghold that the democrats have up here is marquette because of two reason. First is that pos college and second is it has the biggest hospital in the UP and lots of union nurses and many marquette county residents are union miners. But lots of those minors are good old boys and would rather eat crap then vote democratic. Mostly the union miners who vote democratic are the older ones that grew up believing in that union. My nephew is a minor and I was a union lineman most of my life. We were talking about it at camp last year and he said he actually went to one union meeting to see what they were like and out of the thousands of union miners there were 12 at that meeting. Marquette is a wart on the UP. Even there sheriff will campaign for whitmer and was at that rally. Another nephew of mine was a deputy there and quit and took a lower paying job as a town cop in a town about 10 miles from there because he said work had gotten to political. If you even talked trump or republican you would be branded and never get a promotion. We call marquette Detroit in paradise. Ran by a bunch of wanabes think its a city and they have power when in fact it population would be considered just a town down state.

Years ago my son broke his jaw while we were goofing around on bicycles. Rushing him to the hospital on the interstate we ended up behind this convoy of a limo, an ambulance and three state troopers. They would not let me pass on numerous attempts. Followed them to the hospital exit, they got off then peeled off in a different direction. ???????
A week later I found out it was Dick Cheney visiting.
I was glad I had quit trying to pass after the third attempt and only gave them the finger once!
Wonder why he needed such an escort? :)
The kid recovered.
Last week Biden was here to designate the 10th Mountain Army's Camp Hale as a National Historic site. It's a two lane windy mountain road to get there and they had it pretty much shut down. Wonder how many votes he lost to pissed off drivers :)
