Grain fed, grass fed tastes like mud.

I take a steer off pasture and feed him sweet feed, and cracked corn for about 2 to 3 months, with hay available 24/7.

Grain finished.  Hard to put marbling on with grass as you might expect...

All grass fed beef has a slight gamy flavor to me. A flavor I don't care for. The only way I like deer, elk or any other wild game animal is with grain fed beef fat added. Or Pig fat with sausage. I think the reason we see more grass fed beef in markets is because it's cheaper to finish, so cheaper for the wholesaler. You find a good piece of beef with lots of marbling in it, the price goes up. And unless you eat lots of beef with fat in it, the health issue is a mute point. With prices for good grain fed beef what they are, I doubt many will have that problem.
